The clear, caring version

The policies, code of conduct, and community standards for Chills 2026.

These are the ways we keep the weekend safe, inclusive, and joyful for every dancer in the room. Read them once so you know what we are building together, and trust that the rest is love, care, and a community that has your back.

62 / The text, with care

Read once.
Then forget
most of it.

Most of what follows will feel familiar if you have danced in a community before. We write it down because clarity is a form of care, and because the safest rooms are the ones where every dancer knows exactly how they will be held.

§ 01

Tickets, pricing, and refunds

All sales final. Same-weekend swaps welcome between dancers in good standing.

Every ticket you buy is final, non-refundable, and non-transferable between events. Prices may rise as we get closer to doors, but the price you reserve at is the price you keep. We cannot issue refunds for illness, travel disruption, or a change of plans, and we cannot give money back if a later tier is discounted.

Within the weekend itself, you may gift an unused day pass to another dancer in good standing before doors open on that day. Send the request from the email on your original order so we can verify it with care. Once a pass has been scanned at the door, it is spent.

If Chills is ever cancelled or rescheduled by us, every ticket holder will hear from a real person within 72 hours with the options on the table. Full prepayment is required to confirm your place, and by paying you are confirming that the card and the details you entered belong to you.

§ 02

Names, IDs, and your pass

The name on your pass matches the photo ID we check warmly at the door.

Every dancer enters their own name and email at checkout. That name is printed on the pass and checked against a government-issued photo ID at the door, every time. A passport, driver's licence, or national ID card all work.

If you are buying passes for friends, please make sure each of their names is entered correctly. Name changes can be made by writing to us up to 24 hours before doors on each day. After that the list locks so we can focus on welcoming everyone in.

§ 03

Late arrival and re-entry

Arrive with time to breathe. Re-entry is easy with a valid pass.

Classes begin on the posted hour. If you arrive after a class has started, a host will welcome you in at the next natural break so the room stays held and the dancers inside stay in their flow. Labs run on their own clocks and are a little less forgiving.

Re-entry throughout the day is easy with a valid pass. Step out for food, air, a quiet room, a phone call home. Come back whenever you are ready. Passes stay with their original owner on the day.

§ 04

Code of conduct and community

Respect, consent, and inclusion for every dancer, every background, every identity.

Chills is built to be a safe, inclusive, and supportive space. Treat every participant, instructor, and staff member with the respect and courtesy you would want for yourself. Foster an atmosphere that welcomes all backgrounds and all identities. Be punctual, be kind, wear what makes you feel strong, and hold space in line and on the floor for the dancers around you.

Partner and contact work requires clear consent from both people, every time, and consent can be withdrawn at any moment without explanation. Respect personal space and boundaries, in the studio and in the hallways, on the floor and at the meet and greet.

Harassment, bullying, discrimination, intimidation, and any form of violence or threat have no place here. Substance abuse is not permitted on site. Any of these ends the weekend immediately, with no refund and with care for the people who were impacted. If something happens, or almost happens, tell any member of our staff. We hear every report, and we act on every one.

§ 05

Photos, video, and meet and greets

House media only in class. Ten minute meet and greets, up to five photos per instructor.

Phones and cameras stay down during classes and labs so every dancer can feel held. An accredited house photographer and videographer cover select sessions, wearing a visible pass, and will happily leave anyone out who prefers not to appear. Let them know at the top of the class.

After each class there is a ten minute meet and greet where you are welcome to take up to five photos with your instructor. Please stand in line, respect the dancers ahead of you, and keep the moment warm for everyone who is waiting their turn.

By attending Chills you agree that images and footage captured by our house media may be used, free of charge, in editorial coverage and future promotional material for Chills. If you would rather not appear, write to us before the weekend and we will flag you on the crew list so the team knows to keep you out of frame.

§ 06

Accessibility and comfort

Fully ADA compliant. Induction loop. A quiet room all weekend. Every body belongs on the floor.

The studio is ADA compliant with step-free access from the street to the dance floor, to the changing rooms, and to the bar. An induction loop covers the main room and the talks space, comfortable seating waits in the lobby, and a quiet room is open to any dancer who needs a softer space all weekend long.

Large-print schedules and class notes are available on request. Ask at the desk on arrival or write ahead of time so we can have them ready for you. Service animals are welcome anywhere in the building. We believe every dancer, regardless of ability or limitation, deserves to experience the joy of dance in a room built for their body.

If you have a specific access need we have not covered here, please write to hello@chills.dance with your ticket reference. A real person will work with you directly, without friction and without fuss.

§ 07

Health, safety, and taking care

First aid on site. 24/7 security. Personal insurance recommended. Your wellbeing is yours to own.

We recommend every dancer carry personal health insurance to cover possible injuries or illness during the weekend. You are the best caretaker of your own body, mind, and limits. If you feel unwell, listen to yourself and take the break. Prioritize your health over the next combination, always.

A first-aider is on site during every session, with professional injury prevention protocols in place and 24/7 security monitoring of the venue. The nearest hospital is a short cab ride from the studio. If you carry an epipen, inhaler, or any rescue medication, please let us know at the desk on arrival so we can come to you without hesitation.

Weapons of any kind are not permitted on the premises, and outside food is not permitted in the studios. Water bottles and closed containers are welcomed and encouraged. Meals served during the weekend are labelled with allergens in full. The organization cannot be held liable for injuries or illness that occur during participation, which is why we ask every dancer to register with care and read these terms before the first class.

§ 08

Age, privacy, and your data

18+ only. Your personal information is protected and only ever used with care.

Chills is an 18+ weekend. Every dancer, assistant, photographer, and guest must be eighteen on the first day of the weekend. We hold this line with love, out of respect for the sessions, the licensing of the venue, and the kind of room we are building. We plan to open a program for younger dancers when we can do it with the same care.

When you register for Chills we collect the personal information needed to welcome you safely. That includes your name, email, phone number, billing address, and payment details. We keep this data confidential, store it securely, and only use it for communication, identification, and your order. You can update, change, or delete your information at any time by logging into your account or writing to us directly.

§ 09

Liability, force majeure, and contact

Questions, access needs, and press all land at hello@chills.dance.

Neither Chills nor our instructors accept liability for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from your use of the event or its associated services. In the case of force majeure, such as natural disasters, extreme weather, public health events, or other circumstances beyond our control, the affected party is released from its obligations and will notify the other side as soon as it reasonably can.

For questions about these policies, about your order, or about any part of the weekend, write to hello@chills.dance from the email on your ticket where possible. Replies come from a real person, usually within two working days. For press, interviews, and accreditation, use the same address with PRESS in the subject line. We respond to everything, with warmth.

Thank you for trusting us with your weekend. We cannot wait to welcome you into the studio in September, to share the floor with you, and to build this community together, one dancer at a time.
